There are many routes to Heaven, and there are many roads to good NETWORK

20 Jan

Yesterday’s Paying IT Forward (PIF) session was part of an experiment in pollienating a new hybrid of networking.A blend of business networking wrapped in the wanton skin of social networking. The setting has to be comfortable, plush sofas, good food all around and nice music to boot! But the agenda is totally business oriented based on SHARISM, KNOWLEDGE and closed nicely with BRAINBLOOM.

All the pollination was made successfully possible by people who are ready to deposit (men and women) their time, idea, knowledge, know -how they gathered through experience in biz and corporate work and most importantly through their reflection from reading and warm conversation with others too.Time and again, wisdom are sprinkled throughout the sessions and everyone swims in myriad of their “WOW” reflection.I for one, am totally moved by Joanne’s sharing of ‘the power of vulnerability’ which I added to it, that one of the end product to it is “Humility’.
Naziehah chipped in with her own findings from her ElWarda’s business that, to follow your business/services,first, people want to be clear about your business.”As much as they should be fluidity, there should also be clear structure in running it” she added.
Sherena continued the conversation with her earlier discussion with her wise friend who opine that the group also act as a voluntary monitoring support, thus making the visible translation to put all the ‘talk’ into good action.A welcomed depositor who deposits much call to action is a good fix depositor indeed!

Nashwah and Akhiri are strong supporters too, enjoying every minute of the discussion, offering help every so often. But the best help from them was their mere attendance, all the way from Seremban and on time too. Then came our Rocky man the author that wrote a book about Sylvester Stallone and editor from NST, Gerald Chuah joining us,amidst his super busy schedule. And guess what.. because of that appearance, Hakim is going to be on paper soon!
Our youngest attendee, Ms Zaleha from Emiza Curtain came equipped with a loyal and appreciative ‘student attitude’.Listening doubly hard, absorbing all the goodies and behaving well, she’s our epitome of a dynamic start-up, the very model of people whom the PIF bank looks forward to collaborate and pollinate.(Kudos to Hakim for giving us that wonderful word!)
Our banter and chatter would not be exciting without our lovely Shema who was a first timer to PIF.A person with a big heart and deep pocket:) she blends well to our cozy, chic PIF personality.

We are unified as a collaboration of individuals all passionate for ‘goodness’ and we found our way yesterday sitting, standing and huddled together, eyes fixed to the Lenovo laptop truly enjoying our learning being.
This is also an exercise in a flat organisation, giving the members the power to decide the direction of the group.

And in the PIF spirit, we have collaboratively agree that PIF January’s Depositor’s Award goes to our MAsitah Babjan! Thanks for sharing with us about roapmapping and other graphical presentation in developing direction for our company.Do deposit more ya!

For this exercise to fully benefit PIF members, the business community, to fulfill all its passionate objectives, we need more pollinators, depositors who are willing to grow this PIF bank together.Banded with idealism like SHARISM and Collaboration, I sense we’ll go far together…..

P/s the black and white RoadMAp Pic is coming soon, who wants to colour the Hills? Raise your hand:)
